Seaglass: revealing the treasure within
Unique, handcrafted from upcycled sails & materials

Why Seaglass? Our vision and purpose.

Seaglass Pacifica is based in Gisborne, Aotearoa ( New Zealand).

Being a keen sailor, a desire was birthed from travelling overseas, to create laptop/camera bags from old sails, and oppshop (thrift shop) materials, for the adventurer to explore without worrying about their essentials getting wet; being both fun and practical.

Inspired by another woman sailor, Seaglass Foundation was created to give back:

10% of every sale goes toward a sailing venture for foster teens.

These provide resilience, team work, connection to nature, tipuna, Source, themselves; to learn they too, have purpose and value.

Get in touch if you'd like to contribute with sails for bags or

funds for this worthy cause.

The name Seaglass came about as a personal reflection:

feeling discarded, worn from life and lost; like a broken vessel with a former life, I had been tossed about by the waves.

I was feeling raw and broken.

However, my sharp edges were ground down by rocks and the sands of time.

Seaglass when found on the beach, is a treasure to the finder, it is highly valued, becomes art and finds new purpose and meaning, far greater than before.

This is what Seaglass does with sails, materials and people: Restoring joy, hope, purpose, value.

Seaglass bags have since evolved into large Jobags, phone pouches, tribags, Yoma and The Duff bags.

Our bigger vision: is to provide work for third world women, helping them to become financially independent. With the opportunity to learn business training and receive business loans to set themselves up.

Thanks for visiting, we hope you enjoy our creations.

My pouch is amazing! Light, looks great, very handy, fits my phone, wallet and keys in it perfectly. Mum to very active boys, I use the shoulder pouch all the time on adventures to beach or bush, giving peace of mind my stuff is safe and sound while we have fun.

Absolutely love my seaglass bags as Mum of extrememly busy twin boys, almost constantly outdoors: beach, water, dirt; this bag can be taken anywhere. Looks fabulous and contents are protected from environment.
